Dealing with bulk price changes/modifications using Excel

To efficiently make bulk modifications to pricing in ShedMate by exporting pricing data to Excel, making necessary changes, and importing the updated data back into ShedMate.
Filter the pricing list in ShedMate to select the items requiring a price adjustment (e.g., all steel frames).
Export the selected items to Excel by clicking on "Export to Excel" and saving the file with a descriptive name.
In Excel, make the necessary price modifications using formulas (e.g., increase prices by 15%).
Copy the modified prices, paste them back into the pricing column, and ensure to paste values only (not formulas).
Add any additional details, such as supplier names or item codes, for reference.
Save the Excel file and close it.
In ShedMate, import the modified Excel file by selecting it and going through the Excel preprocessor.
Review the items to be imported, check for any pricing differences, and ensure accuracy.
Choose whether to merge items with the same name, ERP code, or import them as new items.
Confirm the import, save the updated database, and optionally save the quoting for existing projects.
Avoid duplicating ERP codes or item names to prevent errors during the import process.
Always save the updated database to avoid losing any changes made.
Double-check the pricing differences and ensure the correct modifications are applied before finalizing the import.
Use Excel formulas to quickly make bulk price adjustments.
Utilize the Excel preprocessor in ShedMate to review and modify data before importing.
Save different versions of the pricing database for easy reference and comparison.

Open Instant Quoting
Click on Export Excel on the Pricing Database.
Make changes to your Excel pricing list (For example, add 15% to all pricing). Make sure you don`t modify your Item Name and Category, as this can cause errors while importing your price back to Shedmate.
Save the Excel file, close it and import it back to Shedmate
Once you import it, shedmate will show you:
a. A list of all items, any duplicated items or invalid items that need to be reviewed.
b. Your pricing can be modified manually from the Pre-processor viewer if needed
c. Shedmate will show any errors
Click on Next, shedmate will show you a list of all items, including previous and existing price, pricing variation and the Variation % per item. Click Okay to finalize and make sure you save your database.
