To import item prices, start by putting all your items in an Excel spreadsheet with the following columns: Item name, ERP, Unit, Price, Supplier Description.&#x20;

Alternatively, you can download the spreadsheet below and use it as a starting point to update your pricing list.&#x20;

With your pricing list updated in an Excel format, follow the steps below to import it to Shedmate. <br>

1. Click on Drafts or Job and open any project
2. Click on Instant Quoting

4. The importing page will show up:
   1. **Merge Items:** Shedmate will merge duplicated items in the importing process. For instance, this is generally used when you want to update pricing after a price increase.&#x20;
   2. **Skip Items:** Shedmate will skip duplicated items in the importing process. This is generally used when importing new items without modifying existing ones.
   3. **Don't Replace Blank Cells:** All blank cells will be ignored
   4. **Ignore items with no description:** Items without Item name will be ignored
   5. What rows to import: Define what starting row you will import to Shedmate. This is generally set as 2, since the 1st row is the heading.&#x20;

Once you click Next, Shedmate will ask you to link each column from Excel to Shedmate. Make sure you link at least Name or ERP and Pricing. You can click on any column and select an option to ignore the column during the importing.&#x20;

Click on Done and then hir Save Database on your top right corner. Select an existing database to overwrite or save it as a New Costing Database.

Done. You have all your pricing in Shedmate. Now review the units and define a category for each item. All items with unit errors will be shown in red. Don't forget to save the database again when you finish it.
